Calling on his name No.2

“Now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.” (Acts 22:16 NIV) The leaves, like life dancing in the wind, flow along with a waterfall-like movement, symbolizing the cleansing and renewal of the believer’s soul when calling on God’s name. Each leaf seems like a fragment of the soul, washed and nourished in the flowing light, reflecting the quiet growth of life within God’s grace. The fluidity of watercolor enhances the waterfall-like dynamism, while the heaviness of oil paint represents the steadfast strength of faith rooted deep within the soul. The interplay of these materials not only enriches the visual layers but also serves as a metaphor for the union of spirit and matter, of faith and reality. Orange shines like God’s light and warmth, while blue mirrors the eternal sky and the sea of peace. The movement and interplay of these colors on the canvas reflect the emotional rhythm and response of the soul as it calls upon God’s name. Painting here becomes more than a visual expression; it becomes a form of worship. As viewers engage with the work, they can sense God’s calling, the liberation of forgiven sins, and the renewing power of the soul in God’s presence.

Love the new artwork in my office and living room. It lifts us up everyday, acts as a conversation piece in Zoom calls, and we love the most being able to support artists in our communities as well.
